What the contact form collects

Only what we need to reply to you and work out whether we may be able to help.

• Your child's age range (optional, and a range rather than a date of birth)
• Your preferred contact method (optional)
• Your message (required)

What we deliberately do not ask for

The form is for a general enquiry, not a clinical intake. It does not ask for, and you should not send us:

• A diagnosis, or any detail of one
• Medications or medical history
• Health card or OHIP numbers
• Ontario Autism Program registration numbers
• School names or records
• Descriptions of specific incidents or behaviours

If your family goes on to work with us, detailed clinical information is gathered later through a proper intake process, with its own consent, and is kept separately from this website.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and to talk with you about whether Therapy Ahead suits your family. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who else handles it

A few service providers process information on our behalf, and only for the purposes above:

• Our email delivery provider delivers your enquiry to our inbox.
• Our website host serves the site and keeps standard server logs.
• Our content platform stores blog articles and secures staff logins, and holds none of your enquiry.

Some of these providers operate outside Canada, which means your enquiry may be stored or processed in another country and could be subject to the laws there.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. We do not know who you are when you browse it. Staff signing in to manage the blog have a session stored in their own browser, which is what keeps them signed in and nothing more.

Pages load fonts and photographs from third-party services. As with any image on any website, those services can see the request your browser makes, including your IP address.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry stays in our email for as long as we need it to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. If you do not go on to work with us and you would like it deleted, ask and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@therapyahead.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and the form does not store your message on the website itself. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason the form asks for as little as it does.

Children

This website is written for parents and caregivers rather than for children, and the form is meant to be completed by an adult. It asks for an age range rather than a date of birth, and asks for nothing else that identifies a child.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how we handle your information, the updated version will appear on this page.
